lnvestment Casting

What Is an Investment Casting?

Investment casting refers to the ceramics formed around the wax patterns to create a casing for molten metal to be poured. Once the wax patterns are created, they are melted onto a gate system, dipped into slurry and sand to form a layered casing, then replaced with the melted metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and much more. What Are Lost Wax Investment Castings?

By injecting wax into a permanent-molding die to form wax patterns, investment casting are the solution for many complex parts that are required in large quantities. We produce investment castings in lost wax patterns from a few grams up to 40 pounds, and can economically produce low quantities with manual tooling, or high volumes utilizing multi-cavity automatic molding tools.

People often say Lost Wax Casting , Water Glass Casting , both are belong to Investment Castings.Below are some materials we often used :

Alloy Common Usage Applications
304 Food grade steel, housings, bodies304 is widely accepted in the food industry as the standard for cleanliness as well as corrosion resistance.   Medical  Mining  Petrochemical
304L / 316L Similar to other 300 series steel, the “L” stands for low carbon, making it softer but more corrosion resistant for each grade of material. Food & Dairy  Medical  Petrochemical
316 Housings, gears, plates 316 is known for its superior corrosion resistance, making it ideal for many uses including marine environments. Automotive  Petrochemical  Food & Dairy
2205 Pool Fencing, Stairs, Housings 2205 duplex stainless steel are high strength, thermostable, anti-corrosive, often used for ocean glass railing system . Ocean, Outdoor, Balcony
410 & 416 Housings, bushings, handles, brackets 400 series steels are high strength and very machinable. They will tend to break rather than bend under intense pressure.  Automotive  Machine Tool  Food & Dairy
17-4 Rods, pins, links, arms 17-4 is the strongest of the stainless steel family and is used on parts that cannot bend. Military  Medical  Machine Tool
